Pornocalypse 2015 Has Officially Begun

Yes, Amazon's panties are on fire again.

I don't have the energy to even type my thoughts, so go read Selena Kitt's analysis.

Books about sex are bad, and are hidden to prevent people like me from corrupting young minds. Yet, I can find Bondage Duckies from the main shopping page. And people wonder why I don't go Select. *facepalm*

Sometimes, Amazon just sucks.

  1. Oh, good grief. :/ I'd really like to know why they don't just give everyone an adult filter toggle and be done with it. It's a simple, obvious solution, so they have to have SOME reason for not doing it, even if it's a ridiculously stupid one. [sigh]

  2. My problem is Amazon punishing the writers playing by Amazon's rules because of some other numbskull doing something stupid, like sticking a sick snuff-porn story under one of the children's categories.

I don't know if you read the latest on Selena's blog, but if you write erotica, ALL of your books end up in the erotica category, including your non-erotic cookbook. So Amazon is going to punish anyone who dares to write erotica. *facepalm*

It would be easier if Amazon would just fucking ban it, but they won't because it makes them too much money.
