This is public service announcement (PSA) because I know a hell of a lot of writers get their healthcare insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The open enrollment period has been shortened. At the federal level, open enrollment ends December 15, 2017.
While some states have extended the end date for open enrollment (which was changed federally in April in an effort to sabotaged the act), make sure you know YOUR STATE'S deadline.
Don't assume.
Don't ever assume.
If you plan on going through the ACA for insurance in 2018, play it safe and submit your paperwork early.
