Woot! [applause]
ReplyDeleteAwesome news. Best of luck with it! :)

Honestly, I'm a little bamboozled. I'm still trying to figure out why these characters have struck such a cord with readers.
DeleteHuh. [ponder] I like their personalities; they seem like people I'd enjoy knowing. And the "blind justice" thing is cool, and the forbidden love aspect is romantic and gives some built-in tension to the stories and their relationships. I dunno, I just like them a lot. :)

But I broke so many "rules". The protagonists are over thirty, they're in a long-term relationship, and the heroine is a short-tempered, arrogant know-it-all. LOL
DeleteTo some of us, those are features rather than bugs. [wry smile]

ROFLMAO!!
DeleteYes!!!
ReplyDelete...I just checked in and see the release.. too bad its 11pm and I'm on my way to bed....I grabbed it and tomorrow when I get home...hehehe
Of course, I MIGHT be a bit pouty with the clock all day tomorrow until then.
The characters have distinct personalities that are relatable. The world has a strong, well-built mythology. The fantasy heat-vision mixed with CSI and mystery against the bigger background of epic consequence..
What's not to love?
Its a thrill ride with familiar elements told in new ways set against new mysteries that intrigue - and all from a main POV of someone who is grumpy, sharp-witted, and whose own personality harms as much as it helps.
The perfect person to cheer for.
Thanks for the new ride - I can hardly wait to get home tomorrow!!!
