I can't wait to hear what you think of Eclipse. I will admit that's its my favorite of the four but sometimes I'm embarrassed to even admit to likely the series at all, but we can't help what we love regardless of the many writing rules broken.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I think a majority of the people who trash Stephanie are simply jealous. That kind of crap pisses me off to no end.
ReplyDeleteOn the nitpicky sh**, yeah, she made a lot of "mistakes" in Twilight, but she told a hell of a story. So strong of a story I didn't notice the alleged mistakes because she kept me IN THE STORY. That's the hallmark of a good writer.
New Moon was...uhhhm...not quite as good. I chalked it up to the sophomore slump.
So far I'm enjoying Eclipse, but honestly I read her books for the same reasons I read most other bestsellers--to figure out what they're doing right.
(Though I thoroughly admit to watching the movies purely for Taylor Lautner - LOL!)
